Yoga Eye Exercises
Yoga Eye Exercises Help Double Reading Speed
If you get bored by these facts about your eyes, hang in because coming up are
baby-easy two-minute exercises to improve your vision to function up to
ninety-five years.
Have you noticed that many Seniors past eighty years old, read with glasses as thick
as the bottoms of Coke bottles? It is statistically true that NOT the legs, but the eyes go first. We have seen test results of Senior adults who executed daily Yoga eye exercises, and the control group who let nature take its course. Four-to-one.
Cognitive-Reserve
Daily two-minutes eye exercises protect your vision by lubricating the Cornea and Conjunctiva with a sebaceous (greasy) blinking hormone from the lacrimal glands. Wait! We Homo sapiens blink 15 times per minute – that is about once every 5 seconds.
How much? 17 thousand times every day – and we are not even conscious of blinking once. Get this: the more you consciously force yourself to blink while you read, the healthier your eyes remain in the present, and into your Senior years.
Why?
When we read we stop our natural blinking reflex. It drops from 15x per minute to only 3-4x per minute. So what? Ever notice your eyes begins to defocus,
and feel fatigued after reading past 30 minutes? It is because your eyes are drying-out for lack of that fatty grease lubricating your orbs when blinking.
Yaacov Stern, M.D. of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons
coined the term Cognitive Reserve. It means where the brain is covered with amyloid plaques from Alzheimer, you function with almost no cognitive loss because of dementia.
It appears those who are actively engaged in reading, learning, and memory usage,
during their career years build a cognitive reserve that protects them in their Senior years.
Maybe the same cognitive reserve occurs when we actively protect our six-muscles in each eye through specific exercises. Google: Extra-Ocular-Muscles.
Huh?
Blinking helps the eyes shift their target point. They go slip-sliding along on a layer
of sebum. Now for the prize winner – how long does a blink take? Answer: 3-400
milliseconds each. When you are happy, received a dose of the Pleasure neurotransmitter – Dopamine – you blink more than normal.
Purpose
The reason we blink is two-fold – shield your eyes from foreign bodies like dust, and
prevent your eyes from drying out leading to blurred vision.
We are dedicated to reporting all neuroscience research related to reading,
learning, and memory processes, and their link to vision. If you are Surfing on the
Internet, reading articles and reports, STOP every 15 minutes to intentionally
(consciously) slowly blink your eyes a dozen-times.
It improves your eyesight in both the present, and for your Senior Years.
What about reading text material in books and magazines? Consciously STOP
every 15 minutes and do a dozen s-l-o-w blinks to lubricate your eyes.
Extra-Ocular-Muscle Exercises
Each eye has four Rectus eye muscles, and two Oblique ones. They move your eyes
up-and-down, each eye horizontally, and downward toward your nose. Other moves are to the top of the eye (away from the nose) and vertically. These twelve
muscles do not include under Extra-Ocular, muscles that lift each eyelid.
- Sit down, facing straight ahead. Do not move your head, just your eyes.
- Focus to your Extreme upper left by raising your eyebrow, and now
reverse and focus on your Extreme upper right quadrant. Go back-and-
forth 6-8 times. Upper left-back to straight-ahead, and upper right and back to straight ahead.
- Laterally (sides) extreme left, back-to-front, and extreme right. Do it 6-8
times. Move toward your nose, and then away from your nose.
- Extreme downward to your left, to the center, and to extreme downward
to the right. Up to a dozen of these two-eye-movements.
- Total time for the exercises = two-minutes.
Please remember that these are Yoga (unite, join) exercises. We recommend you
see your own specialist before beginning these eye exercises. The author is not a
physician, but a researcher.

Japan:$5 Trillion; China $4.3 Trillion; Germany $3.67 Trillion; $France 2.86; and
U.K. $2.68 Trillion. China is NOT a threat to the U.S. with a lousy $4.3 compared to
$14 Trillion. Japan pays 20% of GDP in annual debt for borrowing; the U.S. 10%.
The point is foreigners and their governments are not taking their assets
from a lawful, protected country and depositing them in Fly-By-Nighters.

please help me!! is it difficult to loose weight for the second time or is there something wrong wid me?
actually when i was 15 i was 65 kg and in four months it wen to 58 kg.but when i was 17 i gained lot of weight and my weight went to 68 kg and now m 18 from past half year i have tried all of thing like gym,balance diet,yoga everything but i managed to loose only 3 kg.my sister said that it is difficult to loose weight for the 2nd time.is it true ????????
It is very difficult to loose weight period. Wether it's the 1st 2nd or 3rd attempt, it's hard. My mother & her best friend have assigned me to encourage their progress of weight loss. I could give less of a crap since I already am very small, & got this way by not giving a crap. Obviously, that's not the way normal people loose pounds, lol.
I used to weigh 150 pounds, i used to have no friends, i used to be shy, i used to not be able to look at pretty girls, at that time & only that time, i gave a crap. One day, i did my nails, my hair, my make-up, dressed up real pretty & I sat down in front of the mirror and staring at myself, complimenting myself and pointing out all the thing i DO like until i liked my apperance. I talked to all the kids whom i thought were my buds and made them friends. I looked at the world around me as how it is, and not how we think it should be. I prettty much had a complete self- evaluation and on that day, for the first time that i can remember, I loved myself. I made my self, that right there is the first step.
Make a goal, Idolise someone. For me, I idolised my cousin. She was absolutely gorgeous, toned, interesting, talkative, comfortable... Idealistic. She was everything that I wanted to be, so every concept I developed for me was influenced by her & how i saw her. The day I reached 15, (the age she was when i assigned her this role in my life) She was hit by an old man head on, she went into cardiac arrest as they pulled her out of her car and my happy day turned into the saddest. That day I realised that I am alone in this world. No matter how friendly or surrounded i am, I am alone. Ever since that day, I've been doing me. I am my own role model.
Then, I found a food triangle magnet and it became a piece of my attire, I always had that thing. It's awefully hard to get all the daily servings in you daily, but try you're hardest follow them because 2 servings of milk insead of 3 is still better than none. Eat foods from the earth and refrain from those from man. Pretend you're a cave man, there are no chip and soda factories. There is no machiene to take the fat out of milk, There are no deep friers. Drink whole milk, fruits and vegetables that came straight off a tree & to the grocer, none of that canned crap. And cook you're own meat, (i'd stick with boneless). Also stay on top of you're vitamins.
Stick to work out plans that improve the function of you're vital organs instead of gaining muscle. I pushed myself to the max. and did 500 crunches every single day. The pounds melted off like butter, cardio helps a ton but only if you do it a ton. You cant expect 30 mins a day to cause any dramatic or immediate change. Try sticking with CORE training.
When ever things get hard, Push Push Push you're way through. Mom's always tell you not to baby it, She's not just talking about small boo boo's. This rule applies to much more and practicing it doesn't only make you physically tougher, but emotionally stronger.
Weight loss is 70% mental 30% physical. With the right mind set, idol, strong but positive attitude, diet, and work out, Weight loss is not a problem. knh420@yahoo.com tell me what progress you've made, i'm really interested to hear.
